Are we getting noticed?

When we stand on the Castro Valley Peace Corner, I’m sure many of us wonder: Are we making an impact? Beyond the honking horns, thumbs-ups, friendly waves — and yes, the occasional middle finger — does it really matter?

I believe it does. And we may have some proof.

The April 23 edition of the Castro Valley High School Olympian ran a piece titled “Peace Corner: An Ongoing Battle for Democracy.” It highlights Eden Area Indivisible and mentions some of our members.

That means students are noticing. Maybe they’re even starting to think more deeply about what’s happening at the Corner.

We’ve all talked about how to get younger people involved. Maybe they already are — in their own way.
